An Ediacaran Odyssey: The Dawn of Animal Life?

Today, animals rule the land, seas and skies, but where did this remarkable biodiversity come from? The first communities of large, complex organisms appeared in the deep oceans over 570 million years ago. These strange and unfamiliar fossils, best known from the Mistaken Point UNESCO World Heritage Site in Newfoundland, may contain the earliest known animal fossils. Join us for an Ediacaran odyssey by torchlight. Which ones do you think could be your ancestors?
